Uri Carmel

I came to BINA in order to implement community service and social work that is inspired by the deep values of humanism and solidarity that are fundamental in our Jewish culture."

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and raised in Ashdod, Uri is a community social worker by training. Uri currently lives in Be'er Sheva and is a member of "Kamah" - an urban cooperative community. Uri served as an Aliyah Shaliach and as the Habonim Dror representative in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Uri is one of the founders of “BINA BaSchunah" (BINA in the Neighborhood) in Be'er Sheva. He has been director of the nationwide “BINA BaSchunah” program since 2010.

Sivan Shachari

Born and raised in Holon, Sivan has been a proud citizen of the Negev since 2008. She received her Bachelors Degree in Hebrew Literature and Education and a teaching diploma from Ben Gurion University of the Negev. Sivan is an activist in the fields of education and society, is a member of a young, growing community and truly believes in the power of community to develop a sense of belonging. Sivan is a member of regional leadership groups, she studies Judaism in Negba - BINA's Beit Midrash in the Negev - and loves live music, good books and her dog, Lola. 972-54-7193500

Itamar Ezer

Itamar received a BA in Psychology and Literature from Tel-Aviv University and is currently working on a MA in Clinical Psychology, specializing in children from Tel Aviv-Jaffa Collge. Itamar joined BINA when he enlisted in the Garin army program combining combat service and social and educational work in south Tel- Aviv. After his military service Itamar countinued working in BINA as a group facilitator and voulnteer supervision.
