About Ariel Levinson

Born in 1979, a teacher of Hebrew Literature and Jewish culture, Ariel just completed his PhD at the Hebrew Literature Department of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Winner of The Warburg prize and the Nathan Rotenstreich Grant for Excellent Doctoral Students in The Humanities 2013-2016, given by the Council for Higher Education, Israel. Winner of the Harry & Silvia Hoffman Leadership and Responsibility Fellowship Program, 2010 – 2013, Hebrew University. Artistic director and curator of The Studio, a joint venture by the Gesher and Avichai Foundations - a hub for leading writers and directors of cinema and television, enhancing connection and inspiration from the Hebrew story and Jewish and Israeli culture. A board member of The Jerusalem Season of Culture. A cultural entrepreneur and founding partner and Director of the BINA Jerusalem Secular Yeshiva.
