We all know that Jewish identity is transformed by immersive experiences as a teenager. Participants’ exposure to global Judaism during a gap year will stay with them for the rest of their lives. The LEAP Year includes Jewish learning that is pluralistic and open-minded; community experiences that are relevant and personally meaningful; social action projects that are deeply rooted in Jewish tradition and oriented toward the Jewish future. The Jewish LEAP Year combines BINA’s expertise in running gap years and other immersive programming with the OFJCC’s innovative and forward-thinking perspective on American Judaism.

Was it love ? Romantic (and other) Relationships in the Jewish Tradition

Was It Love?
Join BINA Senior Educator Elliot Glassenberg for a 6-session online course on Romantic (and Other) Relationships in the Jewish Tradition – Thursdays September 1 – October 6, 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 8PM Israel.
Explore some of the most famous (and infamous) relationships in the Jewish tradition in this highly-recommended learning experience from an inspiring teacher. Elliot will take you on a fascinating journey where you will encounter Adam and Eve, David and Jonathan, Tevye and Golde and more. For each couple, we’ll ask: What exactly was the nature of their relationship? Did they truly love each other? What is love, anyway? What can we learn—and not learn—from the relationships of the Jewish tradition about our own relationships, romantic and otherwise? We’d love to see you there! (In partnership with the Oshman Family JCC).
