Yom Kippur at the BINA Secular Yeshiva in Tel Aviv
Join BINA: The Jewish Movement for Social Change, for a special secular-Israeli style Yom Kippur at the BINA Secular Yeshiva in Tel Aviv.
Our Yom Kippur will include three communal gatherings (Kol Nidre, Musaf and Neila) – each combining traditional and non-traditional prayer, reflection and song – as well as opportunities for learning and reflection.
The communal gatherings will be led by Elah Bruno, Bar Shani, Ariel Magal and Elliot Glassenberg – and will take place primarily in Hebrew with some translation and interpretation into English, and will include instrumental accompaniment.
All are welcome to attend, but space is limited and advance registration is required. The event will take place outdoors and according to Ministry of Health Guidelines. Fasting will be respected in public spaces.
(English) Session with Elliot Glassenberg: “Looking for Light in Dark Times” – How can we make room for spirit and hope in the midst of challenge and doubt? How can we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us yet find our own path?

Was It Love?
Join BINA Senior Educator Elliot Glassenberg for a 6-session online course on Romantic (and Other) Relationships in the Jewish Tradition – Thursdays September 1 – October 6, 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 8PM Israel.
Explore some of the most famous (and infamous) relationships in the Jewish tradition in this highly-recommended learning experience from an inspiring teacher. Elliot will take you on a fascinating journey where you will encounter Adam and Eve, David and Jonathan, Tevye and Golde and more. For each couple, we’ll ask: What exactly was the nature of their relationship? Did they truly love each other? What is love, anyway? What can we learn—and not learn—from the relationships of the Jewish tradition about our own relationships, romantic and otherwise? We’d love to see you there! (In partnership with the Oshman Family JCC).
