Study Guide: Limmud to Commemorate October 7

For Individual or Group Learning, Exploration and Reflection

This resource is intended for individuals and groups, to be read on your own, in small groups, or facilitated in a larger group. Our intention is that this resource offers grounding for some of what we are experiencing and that it makes us less alone. Engaging with these texts and conversations, we are all in the company of the other readers and discussion participants, and we are in the company of the writers whose material is presented here and all their readers as well. The community that weaves spans a wide swath of time and geography and holds within it many chapters of pain, struggle, and, remarkably, continuing forward.

We begin with a reflection on the last year, and then move on to looking at texts about finding meaning in loss and death, as part of our conversation on how we find comfort. Whether you are joining a conversation in person or reading this on your own, please make it your own and participate as you choose. Thank you for being part of this.
